Car trouble

My car has been acting funny for about 2 months now, and about a month ago the check engine light came on. I waited as long as I could, but it just was getting worse and unfortunately I couldn't put off taking it in to the mechanic any longer...

And now it's going to cost us  $700 to get it fixed.

Ouch.

It's all but set in stone

that we'll be moving in here...
October 6th, 2010!

We're just waiting for them to verify our income and our credit... so, we're pretty confident all will go as planned.

Here's the floor plan that we went with...
It's actually a lot bigger than I planned on... and a whole lot nicer than I thought we'd end up with. It's really, really nice. Like, they were originally built to be Condos... and they're not that old either. They were only built in the last 2 years. I kinda feel like we should be moving into something dumpier... Haha. I don't know why. I guess it's because we're still newly married and that's just the way it's supposed to go... right? Crappy apartment that smells funny and all the appliances barely work and the walls are paper thin and it's either way too hot or way too cold because the insulation is so terrible... but it's okay because you're so in love that it doesn't matter where you're living... just that you're together. You know? But as it turns out... it's only $100 dollars more a month than any of the other apartments we looked at that were sooo much smaller, not as nice, and the location wasn't nearly as convenient... Brian will be able to walk to work... since we'll be living right across the street. Plus, they gave us a move-in discount because Brian works at the District! And everything (shopping, entertainment, and groceries...) is within walking distance... And it's right across the street from another Hobby Lobby that I hope to be able to transfer to at some point in the future... and then I'll be able to walk to work as well.
And we'll be living 3 minutes away from...

 The Oquirrh Mountain Temple
It's right out the window.

I'm pretty excited to move out and be on our own. Money will be tighter, but I think I'm kind of excited for that. It's time to grow up a little bit more. And we're ready for it.

Moving

After some serious discussing and prayer we've decided that it's time to move out of Brian's parents' basement apartment. We'll be moving sometime in the next couple months, not exactly sure on the when part because we're still looking for a place. Haha. But we're looking in the South Jordan area, so we can be closer to Brian's job. Plus, I really like it out there. It feels more like home to me than living here in Sandy does.

We're excited for this new chapter in our lives. :)
