The Story of Clara the Glara

We were recently at our nephew's 2nd birthday party with a cowboy/western theme. Clara got all dressed up, and was hilarious to watch the whole time. She was such a character! So much in fact, that her dad decided she needed to be the hero of her own story. So he wrote this one for her. Enjoy.

The Story of Clara the Glara

Clara was young, naive, and hopeful when she set out to see the world.

That is, until the Deputy's call came from Sheriff Willem.
He told her of the difficult job ahead.

She was a little skeptical...

a little worried...

and a little overwhelmed.

But, by the time they arrived, her face was set for the task at hand.

Little did she know, this job would age, change, and harden her.

She developed a sharp eye for crime.

A very sharp eye.

As she scanned the area...

...she saw hooligans causing mischief.

Deputy Clara signaled them to stop!

But these hooligans weren't going to give up easy.

Deputy Clara sprang into action!

"I'm gonna tan their hides!" She thought.

"Come at me, Bro!"

Deputy Clara stood her ground with an icy glare.

"Hayaa!!"

She knew that had done the trick...

... and started to give chase!

The hooligans were so afraid...

... that they were scared right out of their shoes!

Deputy Clara had saved the day.

After a hard day's work she thought she'd go visit the Bounce House Bar.

She walked in, exhausted.

"How's it goin', Frank? She asked.
"Not good, Deputy! There's a horse gone wild outside!"

"What!?"

"How could this have happened!?"

"Don't worry, Frank. I'll take care of it!"

She jumped on the horse and began to ride!

!!

"Woah, boy!" she yelled, but that didn't work.

Deputy Clara contemplated what would work to bring this stallion to heel.

Suddenly, she knew only one thing would work...
the Glare.

She prepared herself, and then...

"Hayaa!!"

 Piece of cake!

And that's the story of how...

... Deputy Clara got her nickname.

"Clara the Glara"
